Thanks for coming to my website! I hope you enjoy poking around.
Professionally:
I am Professor Emerita of Applied Linguistics and TESL at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff AZ.
I enjoy teaching and research and interacting with my students. I like to look at language and see how we can use analyses of collections of language (corpus linguistics) to help us better understand how language varies in different contexts of use, and how that can be used to inform materials development and instruction.
Personally:
As much as I enjoy my work, I also like to be outside. I'm fortunate to live in two amazing places that offer many outdoor activities that I enjoy. I spend part of my year in Flagstaff, Arizona (no Arizona is not all desert!) and part of it in Mammoth Lakes, California.
